Shedded in NC
I would not think the bucks in NC would have shed their antlers this early, but pics don't lie.

They've been dropping them up here in VA for the last few weeks. Some of my beagles got out and picked up a few for me ;)

Thats great Cool! I live in VA also and have never been shed hunting. How do I go about this. Do you just go to the land and check bedding areas and well used trails? Just looking for the best way to find these things. I have a bunch of bucks on my land, but have never found a shed. There is a 5 acre field in the middle, Tracks and beds all throughout. Should I look in there, or stick to the thicker, heavier trails? Thanks for the help. I think I'll post some questions on the main field.

Mike Look along trails, or if you hunt farmland, check near fencelines. |
