I go for the racks . .and so far , every rack I have took had some meat hanging under it.

every year i want to take a buck bigger than the last year, I'll take the meat first. antlers are to tuff to cut with a stake knife, A big rack would be a bonus..

i have found out you have to boil those horn for a long time to get them tender. I hunt to put meat in the freezer

I like those antlers. If it lacks in body size I take some does for the freezer.

p.s. nice to have your cake and eat it too........... antlers and body weight.... doesn't always happen but more often than not here... a big rack is packed by a big body.
