a deer is a deer in my book - happy to shoot any that present a good shot
I do try and pass on the little ones now
if it has horns it is a bonus - if they are big horns it is even better

easy question to answer, Antlers, when i hunt for meat i dont want size just a 90-110 lb doe, so weight means nothing, but big neck mounts off these huge bodied deer do look good though

I hunt to have a good time,, if an oppurtunity presents itself then I make the decision!
Bowhunting I wait for head gear or Ill fill a surplus antlerless tag. Gun hunt, we legally "party hunt" so brown its down until all tags are filled. usually 1 or 2 guys get a mounter, and everyone gets a pile of meat![8D]

I shoot big doe's thier the only one's with alimit can't kill but 38 legally here per year. bucks you can shoot 41/2 mths. all you want to .the great big only weigh 200 or so .

I go for antlers. If i want meet i could just shoot a few doe. You see guys getting thier trophy bucks mounted on the wall but you don't see guys putting peices of meet on their walls. Also around her deer only get to be about 130lbs.
