Yes. All bucks shed their antlers. Usually around January-Febuary, sometimes a little earlier, or later.

To answer the second part of your question,no.Not if they can follow there natural coarse.The young are driven away just for that reason.

Yes and yes!
They all lose their antlers and they can inbreed. However, it isn't usually common to find inbreeding for the reasons FLD gave!

Bucks who have had testicular damage will stay in velvet and may keep one set of antlers for many years.

So in some rare instances not "all" bucks drop the bone

very good rack attack. deer with "nut damage" do not shed their velvet and grow wild, unusual racks that never go outta velvet. they usually dont mate either.

actually deer start shedding their antlers about now. So if you go to your hunting area u can find some of the shed antlers and get to know what kind of bucks youll be lookin for next year.
