What don't you want impact shots? At 11 yrs old your son should be able to watch any of the video's out there.

Every video I have ever seen is appropriate for any age of person who wishes to hunt. You can feel comfortable buying him most any one out there. I personally recommend Primos, realtree, drury bros, jay gregory.

My 3 and 1 year olds watch impact shots all the time. Maybe you should look for the old Buckmasters tapes. They politically corrected out the impact shots back then, before hunters set them straight.

Impact shots should be seen by an up and coming hunter. They really show where a good shot placement is and what reaction the deer gives to a good shot.

My son is 8 and my daughter is 3 and they both accompany me to the field regularly.

My boy is able to work his way through the woods better than most grown ups I know and has taken small game and waterfowl with his 410. He helps clean it and has no problems with it at all.

My daughter is still a little young for all that.

I think at 11 he should be able to handle seeing the impact.

Agreed - They will know what type of shot they made on their first deer without having to explain what happened to you, and you explain what to look for.

"Dad! Dad! It jumped just like the buck in the video, and I saw him fall over in that grass there, it was a good hit" [8D]
