I am going to buy a new rifle; I have narrowed them down to the Remington 700 and the Browning A Bolt Stalker. It is going to be a 7MM Mag. Which would you purchase and why?

ok........browning is an all the away around gun......has looks, performace is great, shoot real good, never fall apart, you have something to bragg about....
remington........shoots good, cheaper, looks fair, they screw up down the road.
all i shoot is browning......i won't a gun that will not let me down in the field....browning has never let me down.......killed many of deer with my brownings.....i shoot the 270 browning......and the 243 lever action browning..slick little gun....browningvsremington browning is what i would choose.....you won't be sorry.....did not say this to start crap......this is my thought on the guns.........browning all the way.........
is this the gun you are looking at it is the 7mm mag..

boncat 10,
Thanks for your input, I am leaning toward the Browning. I am looking at the model you have in your post and also the stainless synthetic model.

I have owned two brownings and several remingtons.I do not like brownings slow and cumbersome magazine system or the tang safety that is easy to accidently disengage. As far as accuracy is concerned I would have to give the edge to remington. You seldom see custom guns built on browning actions yet remington actions are the most common actions used.

I would go with the Remington as for remington going down hill I haven't seen it do dnot like browning safety, and as for looks Remington beats the browning hands down.

I prefer the Remington over Browning and have owned both . Nothing wrong with either gun just a matter of preference ,one felt better than the other .
