I've never heard of
We don't have feeding yards here in Bama, but I do know a deer will travel a few miles. I don't know about 20, though. The only deer I now that traveled 20 miles was in the back of my truck.

RE: I've never heard of
Doemaster a deer yard is common in Ontario. It is when the deer herd up usually in a sheltered area like a hemlock or cedar swamp during the winter. This is often call yarding. As for a deer feeding yard, it not uncommon for MNR to provide some extra food for the deer in these areas. Yards can have anywhere from a few deer to a few hundred deer in them. Hope this helped.

Doemasters............did you get in on that Oak Mountain hunt? That would probably be as close to a deer yard as we'll see around here.[8D]

RE: I've never heard of
I didn't even register. I've spent alot of time in the park golfing & hiking & last year I found a ridge that had a scrape line of 11 scrapes & 23 nice rubs within shooting distance(bow) of the scrape line. If you get in let me know & I'll tell you where the honey hole is. And no, it's not the 7th green (I've seen tons of deer crossing the 7th fairway)
