Tally for us all - how much $ did we collectively spend
...this past season?
I'm curious to know this because of so many studies out there about how much hunters spend. If you don't mind, let's tally all of our spending up to get a really good idea and form our own statistic to see how much we really support the economy. Include all spending for all hunting this season whether is was deer, turkey or birds. Best guess is good enough.
Me: this year was a cheap year for me: $1,000 total season
(Try to tally all into it - gas, lodging, arrows, processing, sausage, new bow, phone calls, outfitter costs, etc.....)
BTW, don't respond if you already posted a reply on the hunting politics board.

3 G's.....new bow, new rifle, 3 processed deer, new hunting clothes, 5 ladder stands, ammo, liscense, boots ........ouch......
Just restarted hunting after a 18 yr absence. Sure as heck hope next year will be considerably cheaper.

prolly aroun 2 g's. new bow, some equip. feeders, stand etc. But that's just a guesstimate. Every time I walk into an acedemy or any sporting goods store they at least get 50 bucks from me and most of the time I'm there I dont even need anything.

Counting all expenses it would be at least $2500. Maybe this year will be better, but I plan on getting a Swarovski or upper grade Zeiss so that blows that idea.....

This year maybe $200. for tags and everything as far as what I took out of pocket . I hunted on mine or my neighbors land so travel wasn't a big expense .
