Default 7mm or 300?.....need to buy today!!

Guys I need some help. I have talked with folks, checked prices, but I still can't decide on whether to purchase a Rem 7mm or go with the 300. I'm seriously leaning toward the 7mm right now (BDL SS). The only knock I have heard on some bolt actions is the scope will sometime interfere. Is this a problem with the Remington? Deer hunting primarily, but I want the option to use this gun on elk and larger game. I'm buying today (since it's raining). HELP!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

Also: is a leupold 4.12 40mm enough scope for this gun?

I get the .300 unless the 7mm is a 7mm-08. JMO.

That should be enough scope as well.

I just bought the leupold rifleman 4.12 40mm and spent about 260 on it.....If that's not enough scope for a 300 then I would gladly spend up to 500 on a scope.......
