Default Couldn't be prouder........

My 17 yr. old nephew killed this 16 1/2 spread 8 point this afternoon. It's his first good rack buck.

And his dad (my brother) took this deer about 2 weeks ago and we couldn't find it. Another hunting buddy stumbled upon it today and cut its antlers off and didn't know at the time my brother had shot this deer. He gladly gave up the rack after he heard the whole story. Damn nice man he was......19 1/2 spread, 7 point. I'll put it's pic in the next post right under this one.........

Real nice Groundhunter. That's a big, burly looking 7 point. Where were those deer killed?

Madison Co., Misssissippi.......on a place my friends call the "preserve"........

We have killed 9 rack bucks this year with the smallest being a 6 point.

The big boys are just now coming out for the rut. It may get better, but we only have about two more weeks of gun season left. Prime rut has just started down here.

Thanks for the replys to the post as I am very happy for my nephew, not so happy for my brother as I missed his deer with a bow earlier this year. That's hunting.....
