Got buck number 3 yesterday!!
 

And from the ground of course!! Nice little 7 pointer to add to my early season six and a couple of weeks ago 8 pointer. Gut shot, found him in the creek this morning. Went out at 6:00 and was walking in and heard the coyotes!! They had just started on him and had eaten his rear end. We couldn't find him last night after blood trailing him for about 80 yards. Meat was trashed because it was so warm last night and this morning. (70) Got the rack though!!

Still haven't had a shot at any big bucks, but I have at least seen them!!

Congrats Groundhunter, I finished my season the week before Christmas. This was the first year in a long time that I limited out. I got a doe. an 8 pointer and lastly a six!
Last season we had to leave a buck overnight, but the meat was still good the next morning!
Well, nothing to do now except finish processing the meat and look forward to next year! Again, congrats!

Congratulations! Yep, it's a shame you couldn't use the meat. What kind of mount are you going to do?
