wheres the blacktail hunters?
 

just need to ask some blacktail hunting questions i've been searching these forums do all the blacktail hunters just keep silent like the ghostly blacky's we hunt?? i'm jealious as a green you know what[:-][:-][:-] of these guys that can hunt 6,7,8,9,10 deer a year were lucky to draw 3 tags you know one western brush tag and a anterless and maybe a special hunt then come home whipped well come on guys get to typin ok:D:D

hey brush buster i grew up in roseburg ore. use to hunt black tail there they where some nice deers. left there in 65 and havent seen a black tail in a long time im in wash state now gl hunting

right on usens, my grandpa worked for the pp&l and cut right a way line for the electric power transmission lines he shot alot of nice deer up that way it's hella rough hunting right. i never hunted any units up that way. this year i got one in my back yard. i live next to the rogue river and we have like five does and two bucks i got this guy and he was replaced by another not a week later..

well i was just a yongster back than did not figer it was all that rough but loved the country all the green and black beries and the fishing loved all of it lmao

Doesn't seem like too many people here hunt blacktail. I love hunting them since they are so challenging. I wish I could find out some more info that would apply to hunting these guys.

yes I know alot of people don't want to go to the trouble of huntin the west coast blacky cuz it's some hard hunting you can go along time without seeing one. But I believe these tender little animals are worth it, check out blacktailcountry.com for some good info. I bought a book about hunting blacky's and it seems the way to hunt them is still hunting and you gotta get up high and hit the brush early to see them at dawn they are very nocturnal and very wary. Find a big rock or steep rigde to watch them move and be quiet and wait they do tend to start moving when it all quiets down a little between dawn and like 11:00 am.. after that go down hill and watch up the ridges till dark when they start to feed again.."HUNT ON"......

Brush buster there are no more blacktails in this area by Roseburg , you shouldn't be starting rumors like that . Everyone should hunt around the Grantspass area for the best hunting .Halcon

lmao now i was talking when it was in the early 1960s .. and roseburg was i very small town but it sure has goton big lol now
