Lungs? Never tried that.
Heart - best part of the deer. Cube and fry with some onions. Good stuff.
Don't all true hunters take a bite out of the heart when it's plucked from the fresh kill?

I've eaten beef heart before. IT sucks. no heart for me. Liver, lungs,kidneys....no thanks. Now Groundhog, I have heard is pretty good. Like racoon you have to cut off the fat glands on their legs, neck and back. My dad talks about the groundhog roast his aunt used to make. I found a good cookbook that had a recipe and I'm determined to try it.

we allways have deer heart on the first night of the big hunt. We cut it in half a toss it in a preasure cooker for 25 minutes then slice it thin and eat with cheese and crackers its really gooooooood. I like it best with ketcup
