I have a winch and have pulled elk and deer out of holes with it. Though I dont use it often When I use it ,I really need it I have sometimes tried to get stuck to see if my winch would work and them machines are so dang hard to get stuck, So if you get stuck yes, you will need this piece of equipment.

I have a winch on my Honda 450 ES for plowing snow...I guess it will pull me if I ever get stuck! ...<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I have a winch on my Polaris. I buried it once in mud. Had to get a tractor to pull it out. The following week I put a Warn A2000 on.It's came in handy several times. It's well worth the money even if you only use it a few times. If you get stuck by yourself and miles away from help you'll be glad you invested in one. Ruger Redhawk
