Most Impressive Typical Ever?
 

I narrowed down these impressive whitetails IMO, and which of these bucks are the most impressive in your opinion, I've seen the Kansas King Sheds, Jordan buck and the Hanson buck in real life. All were are amazing.

The Kansas King Sheds(217 #2 sheds)

Mel Johnson (204 4/8)

Wayne Zaft (172 5/8)

Milo Hanson (213 1/8)

The General (#1 typ sheds 222 2/8)

Ahrens Buck (212 gross I think?)

James Jordan (209 3/8)

My favorite is the Mel Johnson buck taken in or around 1965, because it was with a bow and Mel took it in Illinois!;)

I'll have to agree with ya CM. I think that Johnsons buck is the most impressive. When I seen the Kansas King sheds I never seen as perfect looking tines on a rack as that one though. The only thing that buck was lacking was that is needed a little more width.

I gotta go with Cougar Mag on this one. The Mel Johnson buck has always been a favorite of mine.

BTW, we have a full body mount with replicas of the General at camp. Awful big!

not to cause controversy...... but what about the ROMPOLA buck??? even if they are fake (even though there IS alotta evidence in its support) they still are very very impressive. Remember, Rompola agreed to not put the buck into the books until the record was broken. and if the Zaft buck beats the hanson buck, all eyes will once again be on Rompola to see what hes gonna do.

Ithink the Rompola buck are the most impressive, not because of sheer size, but because of the controversy and arguments it causes. i will probably start a WHOLE new argument here, but that is what i think is the most impressive. and i am sticking by it.

I am very intrigued now. "The General" is from sheds right? I had never heard of the General until now. What happened to the real deer?

either the zaft buck or the kansas king. I love those long brow tines on the zaft buck

My personal favorite,at least as far as typicals go,
is the 'Bills Buck' taken here in Iowa in 1974. Huge
10 point that has it all. Trying to pick between all
the great bucks you've listed here is difficult[:o],
but if I had to choose just one I'd go with the Jordan
Buck. I love racks with mass and what a story to
go with that deer:).
