Cool...a local guy! I grad. in 98 but am going back again. Do you hunt up in Hall County? I hunt around Athens and down in Redlands quite a bit (not in a lease right now, unfortunately). Hunt South Ga. a bit, and Florida and N.C. for turkeys.

trophyhuntr & injun - we're pretty close. I live in Walton county and hunt mostly in Morgan and Oglethorpe. I'm new to the board also so I'm glad to seem some local folk to discuss hunting about areas that I know.

Injun, welcome to the posts. You'll find the answers to a lot of your questions here. There are a lot of guys here wiht a lot of experience that may be able to help you out with any questions you may have. Definitely watch out when you post pictures, eastwood will say "fake" at every one of them. It is lots of fun to write to some of these people. They may even have some great information on outfitters or guides on various hunts that you may want to take. Again welcome.

trophy - in walton i hunt in Good Hope and in Morgan its Bostwick and Newborn.

Hell i used to manage the Ruarks chicken houses in Bostwick, you know the guys with the cotton gin, i hunted in walton county next to goo hope at the Stovalls farm

I know the Ruarks but not the Stovalls. Where i hunt is very close to some of their cotton fields.

Do you live out there, we probably know alot of the same people, you know jeff peters, hell you have probably seen me before at the ruarks store, do you kill some nice deer around there, where exactly do you hunt and how many acres are you hunting or leasing

I did pretty well in Newborn this year - got a 115 and a 130 gross. Jeff lives near one of my buddies but I don't know him personally. I have one lease of 150 acres near High Shoals, I have about 120 acres at my house right off hwy 83 but its mostly fields, and where killed my deer is 770 acres that borders burnt pine plantation.

Burnt pines is a nice place i killed a few deer bordering burnt pines, i hunt in buckhead if you know where that is off i-20
