Possible second largest 8 point in the World!!
 

The following is a pic of a brute killed a few weeks ago in Madison County, MS. Rumor has it that it green scored at 188. If the scoring holds up it will be a new typical state record. I've also heard that it could be the 2nd largest typical 8 point killed in the world. I hunt pretty close to where this buck was killed.

Let me guess on the 18th you'll try it again in hopes you won't get the same response.(GH you posted it on the 6th and now the 12th...see a pattern here!!) Really why do you care so much to post the same pic of deer that was shot by some guy with the same facts, yet a second time? Something just don't add up!

I have a quick question why would anybody post a pic of a fake deer, really what purpose does it serve?

I hunt for personal reasons and come here to hear the stories and talk shop with true hunters.

Fakes are only good if silicone. Hot dogging is only good with mustard, ketchup & relish is on it. If your a glory hound then try something like skydiving without a parachute!:D

If I'm not mistaken, the world record 8 pt was taken
doring shotgun season, here in Iowa, a few years
back. I believe it scored 182 and change. Easy to
remember because we used to bow hunt just down
the road from where it was taken.

Takes a lot of antler on a 8 pt to get in the 180+
range[:o]....if this deer scores what you say, we'll
be reading about it soon.

That guys foot is awfully strange....

not trying to defend the guy because i have no idea but on the foot thing

he is ok. i have those same rocky gortex boots and there is nothing wrong with his boot or foot.

and on the tagging issue, here in NC we don't have to put anything on the deer - just mark our set of tags. but not sure about MS.

First of all for you naysayers (AKA).....KMA..........

Second, I posted this again with a smaller pic so it would load faster, and because the old post had at one time scrolled off the board. I did not realize it had new posting's. Also new info. was included. If you don't like it, sue me......

As to the deer in question.....Come on down AKA, I'll take you to see it....are you a betting man????

BTW AKA.....we don't have to "tag" deer in MS. Once again you show your skeptical ignorance.

What is it with the skeptics on this board?? Jealous? Yes we have big deer along the Big Black River Basin in MS. That is a known fact. I'll offer you the same dude.....you a betting man? I'll take you to see this deer in person if you dare. If not, shut up.

Now after I post what a big deer it is, and how the picture looks good to me, you yell at me too!

Go back and read what you posted today & tell me where you given new information. As to the picture size yeap that is different but why not just edit the orginal post. This is what I was refering too. I did find it odd that the same info and pic was posted 6 day after the original. As to jealousy, well I can only speak for myself and that isn't the case. Cudos to guy who shot the deer, but why such a vested interest in someone else's deer? I could post pictures of many big deer taken by others but I think it is their story to tell not mine. But to each his own.

Great...Uh, deer. I didn't know whitetails got that big until I recently went to the new Bass Pro Shops in Louisiana and they had a replica of the Hansen buck hanging on the wall. After getting hit by several buggies because I was standing in the Isle gauking [:o]at it, I had to walk away in disbelief. That thing is awesome. Now if this buck is only an eight and he will score 188 that is impressive.

Big Country, don't cry. Here, have some deer jerky.:D

Great picture of a great deer. One that big deserves to have a second look. Funny how the naysayers come out when a great bucks picture is posted, you even got white raven out of his hole.
