RE: Poll on hunting in high fences.

Well Guys, We could go from one end to the other about fences and oceans ect...

I am for hunting high fences! I believe here in TX with the game ranches being as big as they are (quite a few thousand acres) you would never know you were hunting in a high fenced are if you didn't drive through the gate.

Most of you see the "Pen" and think about how un-ethical. If you never seen the fence or the gate you would never know any thing about bad hunting. Most
likely where you are. All you would know is this ranch has great deer!

"Deer that are shot behind a fenced in ranch cant go in the books, so that is one that people dont have to worry about "

It may not go in the books, but it will on the wall. Sounds like some people are jelous. This may only be a personal trophy, but its his/her trophy. People know that going into the deal.

And dont tell me that its too expensive!!
I will call B.S. on that, the time you lease, feed, blinds, cameras ect.... You could pay approx. 2000.00 and be done until another time.

Everything gets more technology, as well as hunting. For all you other guys you can go primative, but you have to use spears and recure bows and arrows with flint. If one thing goes so does the rest. No guns, four wheelers. trucks. ect...

Funny huh!

Just where I stand

Does this mean the Keg hunt is off???
They'll never ban keg hunting it's been a tradition in my part of the country as long as I can remember.

I'm only jealous that TAZ got to empty more kegs than me last year!

I don't lease or feed. We build our own stands. I did get a stealth cam for Christmas, proably would have never bought one myself.

Total cost of my hunting this $68 dollars not counting gas. Didn't need arrows or slugs this year.

You do have to put a $75 dollar deposit down on kegs now in NY, so we better not loose any this trip.

Well if Charlie, Taz, and Farmctry would stop trying that "roll it over the cliff" shot, we wouldn't lose all that deposit money. I know that's how to get the big bucks, but it's a low percentage shot with not a very good chance of recovering the deer or the keg!!

$75.00 is a small price to pay to watch that shot be well executed.
Especially when TAZ makes it.

i dont think jealous is a good word, not understanding is a better word, need to see a big fenced ranch to know the logistics, obviously my opinion

I don't understand that one either lol.

trophyhunter my brother man,

I may be wrong and probably will never find out if I am. But I don't think me seeing a fenced ranch would make one iota of difference on my position. I'm sure they are well run, well managed, profesional operation. But, it's the whole concept we're talking about here not the logistics of what it entails. JMO
