Buying Binocs

I am looking to upgrade my cheap binoculars. I have around 300 dollars to spend. I was looking at either the Nikon Monarchs 10X42 or the Bushnell Legend 10X42 with rainguard. Anyone use any of these? The Nikon's are lighter and more compact, but the Bushnell's rainguard is supposed to elimnate external fogging which is one thing I don't like about my current binocs. Any suggestions on these two or any other brands within the same dollar range? Thanks for your time.

RE: Buying Binocs

I am a big fan of Nikon optics. I have Nikon scopes on all my rifles and I have a pair of Nikon Travelite 12x binocs and I love them! Nikon's clarity rivals leopold with a cheaper price tag. The only thing I don't like about my Travelite binocs is that they don't gather enough light during dawn and dusk, but the the other features like being light and easy to handle more than make up for this. All in all, I think that the travelites are the best $120 I have spent on hunting equipment.
