Default My first deer!

Hey I'm 13, and my uncle is huge on hunting and my dad is pretty big into it. I've been rifle hunting for about 2 years now, and I just recently took my first deer. This was the best thing I have ever done. I really enjoy hunting, and when I get older I hope to take my kids hunting, and keep the southern heritage alive.

Great news, congratulations! Have any pics?

Remember: hunting is not just a Southern tradition; it's a red-blooded American tradition. Glad to hear you're going to help keep it thriving!

Well congrats! Now you have one under your belt! Feels good to get one doesnt it! Now next year its time to bag your first buck (if this isnt him). Good luck!

It was a little buck, but for christmas all I'm getting is a tikka t3 lite 270 short mag. and hopefully i'll get me a big one. My dad said he just recently saw a ten point on our farm, but he said he was going to leave it for me instead of taking it.

Thats awesome! I hope you harvest him. My uncle recently saw an 8 point with the main beam with huge mass. He said he had a clean shot as it stood there waiting for my uncle to do something but my uncle got an 8 point 2 years ago. a. he doesnt want to mount it again cause of $$$ b. he has 3 JR's that hunt with him so he wanted one of us to bag it.
