RE: JPS's son {Josh} great buck Pic
First off thanks to Strut for posting pic.Monday was the first day of the Pa. rifle season.I got my deer in archery so we put two stands in the same tree so I could sit with my son. It was so windy it was unreal, you couldnt here anything then about 9:00 am I looked to our right and a doe was standing at about 20 yards, it kept walking and I told me son to stay alert there may be a buck trailing her.Well about 20 seconds after she passed this buck stepped out of the laurel at 20 yards. He pulled up and made a good shot through the lungs. It ran about 25 yards, stood there a sec. then fell over.We couldnt believe it,we knew it was big but it happened so fast we didnt have a chance to get a good look tell we walked up to it.It has 14 points a 19 5/8 in. inside spread and a 21" outside spread. It weighed 130lbs and is only 2.5 yrs old. This is his second buck he has taken since he was 12, he is 16 now and the last two years he had chances to take small bucks but passed because he said he wanted a big one.I guess he got it! I rough scored the buck and come up with around 140" with no deductions. This is big for our area, also the deer was taken on state game lands. Thanks again to Strut for posting pic.
