scope fogging

On a cold morning, if I by mistake breath on my scope the outside of the lens will fog. Anyone know anything that can be put on the lens to keep it from fogging, or is this just an occupational hazzard?

Thank You

You could try some of that antifogging spray that they use for eyeglasses. I use to use see through lens caps before I bought the new scope.

I dont have a problem with fogging my scope as much as my glasses. I got these scope caps that have a cover over them. All i have to do is flip them up when a deer comes. Then they dont get fogged or snow or rain on them.

Get some scope covers. They work great, as huntin said. You can pop them open in half a second.

i have found over the years that putting the scope under your arm or placing clothing over it to keep the rain off will cause fogging.even letting the gun and scope get warm in the truck on the way to the hunt then taking it outside into cold or freezing temps will most certainly cause a scope to fog inside.i leave my rifle in my truck overnight to insure it will be the same temp as outside.if i have to use the defroster to clear the windshield,i turn the thermostat down to just enough heat to keep it clear.scope covers will only keep rain off the lens.;)

Shoot open sights!:D:D:D

Serously, try that anti fog spray for eye glasses.

You also might want to carry a dry lense cleaning rag with you as well.
