RE: Bringing in the Does
If baiting is legal in your state I recomend that. Apples or sweet potatoes both work well. The reason I say apples or sweet potatoes is it makes it harder for other wildlife birds, squirrles ect. to carry it away. If you use apples make sure you bust them up and rub them on trees around your stand to get the scent out. Most fruit stands will carry reject apples for hunters so you can get them fairly cheap.Other then that do a little scouting find some heavily used runs and set up for them. They' ll be there.
Good luck |

RE: Bringing in the Does
White Oak acorn scent would be less likely to spook them than apples or yams . Yams , in fact , only seem to attract marshmallows in my state ... :D :D :D

RE: Bringing in the Does
Apples work great anywhere. I put piles in swamps in hardwoods and anyplace I need the deer to be. They never pass them up! In fact, I' m picking up a load in about an hour.

RE: Bringing in the Does
i would reccommend using a fawn bleat in the pre rut if you are looking to call them in but if it is later in the season the does are preoccupied with mating. i agree with the baiting, but something natural works better. if you are hunting in an area with cedar trees, that' d be good. i had 5 deer eating on a fallen cedar tree at my deer stand last on monday. two of which i shot.:D the deer totally ignored my apple and corn mixture pile. hope this helps

RE: Bringing in the Does
I Use apples in areas where no apple trees are present. Be sure to put lots of them out (several bushels) a couple times in the weeks before you hunt. Go midday to avoid spooking anything.
