The jinx is finally broken!!!!
 

I have been hunting this club for four years now and up until this last Friday I have not shot a buck!
Well, now the jinx is finally broken! Last week I was working the night shift and all hunting season, the weather pattern has been terrible for hunting on my days off. I had 6 hours of vacation left for this year, so I took the last half of Thursday night off. I got to the lease at about 1:00 AM, the weather was clear and very cool. I got a couple of hours of sleep and when I awoke, the weather had clouded up and the temp was rising! I went out to my stand not really expecting to see anything. At daybreak I saw a coyote and figured he would spook anything in the area away, but ten minutes later, a nice East Tex eight point walked out and just like that, my four year buck drought was finally over!
He' s not a wall hanger, but after four years of no bucks, he was great!

congratulations! i' ve been there with the drought, but it was a drought for my first deer. i hunted for about 3 years straight and didn' t see anything but a doe runnin across a field, but my uncles got me the hook up to go and hunt with them in their camp and that morning, a small 6 point walked by, and now his rack is on my wall. it feels good to get a deer after puttin in so much time
