Wow, I thought deer did damage to cars!!!! I wonder if the Pilot tried to aviod it.. Picture was sent by a friend in Texas, to bad he didn' t get out of the way...Think they mounted it???

since the impact happened during landing or taking off the pilot would have no chance to evade the deer . They were very lucky it didn' t cause the plane to crash .

Ya its too bad the deer got it, but have to agree with keven good thing plane didnt crash in the whole event.. still an awsome looking deer.

its tru, its tru. those pilots are getting bigger deer than me too. too bad. nice buck though. the pilots should have known to pull up when they saw that doe stop in the runway to look back into the woods.

I' ll tell you what... I' ve seen some huge buck hanging around the Pittsburgh International Airport. I can' t believe we don' t see more stories like this. The airport area is all fenced in and nobody is allowed to hunt it, as far as I know. The deer haven' t been in their regular fields do to some construction, but during July, the deer were everywhere.

This has got to happen more often than we know. I would love to get in there and take one of those big guys out of there so at least one buck won' t meet his fate being hit by a 747! ;)
