Phis, it sounds like the buck-to-doe ratio might be out of whack. As long as there are more does than bucks, the bucks will not respond very agressively to scents, rattling, etc.

Something to think about. Besides, it sounds like you are at least seeing deer. The only land I have to hunt on isn' t ideal. I' ve been on stand a total of 30 hours (probably not a lot, but new wife, job etc) and I' ve seen one young doe.

I' m beggining to lose the adrenaline rush from hearing squirrels! ;)

ya out of wack for sure. I guess I never really thought of it that way.

I think I' m going to give to land owner a call, and see if he' ll let a couple more guys hunt there this year to take a few doe.

If the does are staying put like you say, there' ll be bucks in the area. You just need to focus on travel routes to and from beds to food sources. Look for staging areas where the does are congragating before they enter the food sources. Bucks will be near by.

I agree that the buck to doe ratios sound out of wack. Then them out a little and you should see improvement next year.
