Good response Ifferd. I agree. My most productive hunts have taken place in rain or snowy weather.

You bet, i followed a big six pnt last year for over 4-1/2 hrs before ' The unseen hunter ' on the other side of hill shot him.:(

I believe they move more when it is raining, a lot more.

oh yes, they move in the rain. It has been raining really consistently now for last 24 hours here and on way in today, I saw plenty of deer out.

I believe at first start of rain they kinda wait it out. Them if it doesn' t let up, they just go on out foraging. Maybe even more than normal cause they want to keep body heat up.

Anyway, with all this rain I will have a really good opportunity to evaluate my theory in the next few days leading into firearms season. DON' T FORGET THE GUN OIL!!!LOL
