Well my first hunt was a bust. First...I got sick just before I left. Just didn' t feel like even being in the woods. It was warm so that helped. I feel asleep against a tree the first morning. I hunted for two days and my son and I didn' t see a single deer expect the ones killed by the other three!! They got a 4, 6 and 11 pointer. So it was not a bad couple of day. There is always next year!!

Loghead,

I' m sorry to hear about your hunt not going well. PA rifle season starts on Dec. 1st so I' m getting really excited. Than after XMAS starts muzzleloader.

I saw on CNN this morning that in Ohio you have Turkey shoots. We have them here in PA also at the legion hall and it' s loads of fun. Maybe you should check one out.

Good luck....

trophyhuntr....no...gun season in Ky is for a 10 days. I got sick and had other obligations!! I hope to go again next year for the full 10 days. Two of the guys that I hunt with saw a monster buck. They both had a shot at it but things happened to both of them. Donny uses a 700 Remington. He had the buck in his sights and his gun jammed!! Dave had the same buck come up behind him to his left and when he turned to sight he was looking straight into the sun and could not find it in his sights. He said he thought about taking the shot anyway but didn' t want to take a chance on just wounding it. So unless they got it later in the week then he is still there!!
