How much are you paying and what do you get?

I know a lot of people hunt on family, friends, or public lands for free, but what about those of you paying for hunting rights. I am particular interested in prices in Texas, but I would like to hear from others across the country. I want to make sure I am getting a fair deal before I plunk down the money. What are you allowed: I.E. legal game, how many bucks/does, varmits, birds, fishing, non-game like hogs, seasonal of annual, what about taking your kids, etc. Any other info you think would be helpful is appreciated.

Thanks in advance

12 members,$425.00 a spot. around 1500 acres, children hunt free. Deer, turkey, ducks, anything thats in season. 3 primary stands that you have total control over plus a number of club stands on a first come basis. North La. must abide by all game laws.

Hey TxTechsan, land can really range in Texas. I find that a good deer lease
in Texas would go for an average of around $10.00 an acre. I currently hunt
on 1000 acres just North of Cisco, and I pay $1500.00 for my yearly lease, with
only 7 members.

SE VA --~1800 acres consisting of old growth hardwoods, timber company pines, clearcuts, and swamps. $350 , ~30members, DMAP tags. All game. No atv' s allowed unless you are packing out or disabled. Makes it nice for me since I hike in farther than anyone else is willing and thats where the big boys are.

$560.00 a year for 5000+ acres, 60 members. All game species. You' re pretty much on your own as far as the hunting goes. We have 80 doe tags, no limit on how many a member can kill, bucks must be 4 points or better on one side, no limit on bucks as long as they are within guidelines, 2 spring gobblers. We have about 25 ' ACTIVE MEMBERS' . Land costs us $5.00-$6.50 per acre, all owned by timber companies.

Leases in East Texas are running about 3.50 per acre right now, with a Temple Co. planned increase to reach $4 - $4.50 per acre in the near future. Most people paying $350-750 per year around here. There are plenty higher, not many lower.[:' (]

A couple of us are on a lease in mitchell co for 1100 per person, ~ 1100 acres, year long access, 2 buck 2 doe county, bucks must be 8pts with spread outside ears.... you can take guest, but they count against your totals which are the same as the county regs... we are still getting set up this year as we got on it late, but we got next year as well in a package deal, so.... we have seen ducks, pig tracks... quail out the wazzu... and we can hunt them all, varmits... etc...

Stop by and talk about those Red Raiders... :D
