What are your thoughts on Earn-a-buck?
 

I was wondering mainly what WI and other Midwest hunters thought about Earn-a-buck. I was hoping to get some reliable info for a project in school. i have to write a letter to a legislative person and was hoping to write about possibly extending the current 9 day gun deer season here in WI and was wondering what to write about Earn-a-buck. do you think it helps the deer herd or is a problem for a hunter to be concerned about. also any sites offering history about hunting in the midwest would be helpful. Thanks and good luck hunting.
one other thing, i just know that if they implemented an earn-a-buck system that right away there would be stories going around about the hunter who saw the biggest buck of his/her life but couldn' t shoot it because they didn' t have their doe tag filled. those are the situations that seperate the real hunters and poachers.

If you are in a state where the deer herd is out of control then I think it is a good idea. In WI, I have been reading alot about CWS. In my opinion, and thats all this is, if thats what it takes to get it under control then I am in favor of it. If you cant use the meat yourself, you can always give it away or donate it. And isnt having a healthy deer herd what truly matters in this?
