NAW Subscription Renewal
I wasn't quite sure where to post this. Hopefully I picked the correct forum.
I suppose I am in the minority since I still prefer to read outdoor publications in print rather than being a slave to the internet and/or my phone. If you call me old fashioned I won't be insulted. Anyway, today I received a post card telling me that my North American Whitetail subscription would be auto renewed for one year at the price of $18.97. Great. However, I also received an email telling me the same thing except the price was now $26.97 for another year's subscription. Say what? I thought inflation was under control? Just another lie? So, I first tried sending a message to the email address listed on both notifications asking which price was correct. The email came back as "undeliverable". Hmmm? Then I called the 800 number listed on both the post card and in the email. The best the gentleman could tell me was that I would have to wait until my credit card was billed to know which price was correct. Really? At this rate it'll be $50.97 by then. |
Personally, I'd cancel both subscriptions. Every time I've had a similar subscription issue or problem, a phone call fixed it quickly with generally the better rate due to being a returning customer. The mags don't make much money from subscription prices and will tell you that. Advertising is where the bulk of their money is made. And higher #'s of subscriptions means more advertising revenue.
