Details of " Lovstuen Buck" - potential NWR

RE: Details of " Lovstuen Buck" - potential NWR
There seems to be some confusion??? Some of you
are comparing the bucks 2000-2001 shed picture
with his 2001-2002 velvet picture. Yes it is the
same buck....the pictures are from different
years.
This doesn' t seem that confusing, especially if you
check out the links I provided. However, maybe it' s
just me.....I' ve been spending too much time hanging
out in oak trees, speaking of which, I need to get
my things together for tomorrow.
There are some pictures floating around the internet,
allegedly taken after the buck was harvested.
None of these pictures are actual. The one I' ve
seen the most is the buck with strange looking
vertical rack[&:]. As mentioned before, NA Whitetail
Magazine will be coming out with a article soon, written
by Bill Winke.
Hopefully this will help some of you better understand
some of the facts surrounding this great animal.

Deerslayer,
As to why, and some of the facts surrounding this
buck, here is one of the links I provided-
http://www.iowawhitetail.com/ubbthre...b=5&o=&fpart=1
It also includes a picture of the strange looking buck
with the high, vertical rack, claiming to be the Lovstuen
Buck.

RE: Details of " Lovstuen Buck" - potential NWR
well i decided to look through some old " Field and Stream" magazines tonight when i came upon somethign very funny. It is a story about where to kill the world' s largest bucks.
In the September 2003 Issue on page 64 I quote " iowa may well produce the next world record. Considering the mild winters, it could come soon." I find this very ironic being that the potential new world record was taken in Iowa in the month of september. just a strange coincidence. those with the magazine should dig it out and take a look.
good luck and happy hunting
