Deer and wheat?

Do deer eat winter wheat? There is a 25 acre field next to some timber I hunt and was wondering if it is a good food source. I' ve found a tree I can hang a stand in and was hoping it would be a good late season spot that the deer will hit hard.

Darn right they eat it. I plant it in my winter food plots every year along with other forage and they will tear up the young green growth. Place that stand! ;) Good Luck!! -- CDH

Sweet. I might actually do some serious post rut hunting this year especially if I don' t get one by the time shotgun season is over. Thanks for the help
