Okay thank you RR, so by my guessing he may come up a little short being just an 8 pointer? It should be close though and will be getting scored at the taxidermist’s shop.

Phil, with a 23.5 inch spread he should make 125, my buck was 18.5 so your spread should make up for my bucks short G4's

I have not posted in a while, congrats to all the nice bucks taken so far this year. I had some luck during the Illinois second shotgun season in early December.

I was hunting the edge of a cut corn field and this guy stepped out just about under my stand, shot was under 20 yards.

Browning A-Bolt 12Ga. Slug gun, Federal Barnes Expander 328 Gr.

Reviving this one a little late - my son knocked this one over at 172yrds back in December. His new Defiance action hasn't arrived yet (quoted 12-15mos when ordered, and that was before the Extreme Group buyout), so we dropped my barreled action - Defiance Deviant + Bartlein M24 contour, chambered in 6mm Dasher, with Kahles K525i on top - into his Manners Gen 2 Compact stock so the LOP could fit his frame. 105 Berger hybrid leaving the station at 2814fps, connecting at 2544fps, heavy quartering away, he drew a line from the buck's diaphragm to its far shoulder, right through its heart - around 1/3 of which was blown to bits. He scrambled about 10yrds, sprint-crawling like he was rowing a boat with all 4 legs, tumbled down a ravine bank, and never moved again.
