I am in need of a new pair of cold weather boots. Any recommendations?

Looking for 1k Thinsulate or higher and waterproof.

Russells Sheep Hunter. They make them to fit your foot. You measure your foot, ankle and lower leg in 9 or 10 different places. They make the boot to your measurements and you can get any amount of thinsulate you want. They are pricey, $600 at least but they will fit and you dont have to worry about them raising blisters.

Boots and binos are the 2 things you should NEVER skimp on.

You didn't say where you are from Hank. If you are a western hunter you will certainly want leather boots for the support. Here in the northeast most use rubber for both deer hunting and ice fishing because of the snow. I use muck woody max for hunting and muck arctic pro for ice fishing.

I would buy heated socks

The guys in my camp including myself all started using heated gear. Heated sweatshirts, vest and insoles.
