Texas hill country, what' s big enough?

Still new to Texas but enjoy Whitetail hunting with and with out my boys. Took this 8 pt. 11/5 in the AM the morning after the first cold front of the season blew in. I guess 2 1/2 years or so. Have 300 acres to shoot on but cannot control what' s around me. so. . . . .??

A buck that scores 140 B/C in the Hill Country is very unusual. But waiting until their 4-5 yrs is the best case anywhere. Your probably going to see alot of deer, so don' t worry about the neighbors. I hunt on 900ac. and we have stuck to the rule of 4-5 yrs and it has proven to be successful for the past 4 yrs. Shoot alot of does if you want to increase your odds of a bigger buck.
