Menards Hunting

Went to Menards to buy a deer mineral block for this season.
The employee informed me that Menards has dropped all hunting items including deer stands.
I sent Menards an e-mail stating my disappointment with their decision.
Told them I will be taking my business to Lowes.

I'm certain they are devastated by your decision.

I went to a Menards the other day for the first time. I was impressed by all they had and the size of the store. It’s a home improvement store, not really a hunting/outdoor gear place.

Never heard of them. Never seen one. Never been in one.

And the 11% rebate when it's going on is a very good deal. They already beat Lowes and home Depot on most stuff, add that 11% back? Cannot beat it.

I bought a freezer. One of the few places that actually had them in stock. Hope to fill it with elk next week!

Back in college I worked at Lowes and Menards both for a sort time. On the surface their prices are lower but it is a bit decieving. My experience was that if you look item for item, Lowes was a little cheaper. However Menards caries many items (doors, windows, appliances, etc) that are a notch below the low end products of Lowes. So Lowes cheapest washing machine might be 500.00 and Menards cheapest one is 400.00. However if you look at the 500.00 machine that Lowes has, it would cost you 525.00 at Menards. That was years ago so maybe things have changed.
I worked in a College town so there were lots of rentals and the land lords would shop at Menards because they wanted the cheapest option available, which was typically Menards.

I checked Menard's website for their Wyoming store. No mineral blocks but they had a lot of hunting equipment and some pretty good prices. Have you considered a feed store for your mineral block?

I was in mine yesterday and it still has a small hunting section. I didn't notice any mineral blocks.

Hats, gloves, tree stands, not much really. Great deals on double ladder stands though.

They charge 11% too much!
