Need Help with deer movement!!
Last year I had moved on a new lease, signs have been great and lots
of pictures of deer from my cam, but after one week of season we only have one buck to show. Now the buck was a really nice 8 pointer and we we very pleased to harvest him, however we haven' t seen many deer. The signs are everywhere, (deer boop, rubs, tracks) but we just are not seeing them. One thing to add to this is we have had some hogs move in, could the hogs be driving the deer away? (One less hog after the yesterday morning hunt). Could it be that the deer only are moving at night, and if so what can we do to try and change that. Any advice would be appreciated. ![]() |

RE: Need Help with deer movement!!
I would say hunt closer in the woods to bedding or go nite-huntin' !
I hunted a laese the last three years and had the same deal as you describe. I found that hunting later and colder weather in the season produced more deer sightings. And kills. I hunted yesterday pm here in Ga and it was 80 degrees. Swatted skeeters and no deer seen. Today drastic temp drop and high NE winds. Going to see Matrix 3..... |
