Not sure where you are from but a lot of the country is experience record warmth. You still have an obligation to try to locate the deer but the meat may or may not be salvageable depending on where you are and what the weather is. Time is not on your side. I have had to use a tag on a doe that was found the next morning but was 70% eaten by coyotes. I just tagged it, checked it in and then disposed of it.

"Thanks alot buster" isnt what I would expect a 14 year old to say to a 70 plus year old man.
Just doesnt fit with what someone who is barely a teen would come up with. Then again people who post ananoumously on the internet aren't always what or who they claim to be. Sorry you didnt find your deer.
