like I said, live and learn
hopefully you took loosing this deer as a learning experience
and to have a backup plan in effect next time your hunting, , so you know where you can track and who to ask in advance if needed
its a hunters job to do this stuff, deer are not just targets we shoot and SOMETIMES recover .
every possible attempt should be made to recover a deer you shoot, NOT doing so will just deplete a resource,and give hunters bad name and possible cause the anti hunters to gain more ground on things.
