Default MuzzleLoader Oklahoma public land buck

Got lucky and got a 200 lb buck this past Saturday with the Muzzleloader. Thanks to sabotloader for sending me a few Lehigh rounds to try since I have been having so much trouble out of the Shockwaves. Shot was 100 yrds and the buck ran maybe 80.

That's a big deer. I helped recover several bucks that went almost 190.

And I shot a doe that had over 130lbs dressed weight. But I've never broken the 200lbs barrier yet.

My heaviest buck was around 170 something.

I'd like to shoot a heavy buck someday. Some of the Ohio places I hunt have potential. They don't get that big too often in PA where I'm at though.

Yea up till this one 175 lbs was my largest body. The 2 I have taken so far this year seem to be carrying a lot more fat than usual so maybe that has something to do with it. I'm just glad I didn't have to drag him. The wildlife biologist over the area helped me out and we drove to him. He had jumped a fence that separated a draw area from the general public area so I called him up and met him back at the truck. I shot him about a mile back in there so I am very happy lol
