As much as I hate to argue. I have to say it's look more like skill than luck.

Congratulations on a fine Buck!

I think Mickey may be onto something here.

sounds like he had some past history with the deer and used what he knew to set up properly and it payed off. Of course I also think there's always a little "luck"(or whatever you want to call it) involved

If I posted that picture it would certainly be luck. My old charter captain's handle was Mr. Lucky so I do have a bit of that going for me. I have shot several dozen deer but never got anything like that one. Rocky has the history and certainly deserves respect for his hunting skills.

Congrats on an awesome buck Rock! You definitely have a talent for the big bucks.

CI (Mr. Lucky), I've always thought of luck as being more of an opportunity. Being in the right time at the right place and then taking the right actions to take advantage of the opportunity. How many people don't see bucks circling around them or are yakking with each other, on a cell phone, not paying attention, etc.? Not to mention they hiked a lot to be in the right place for the opportunity. I would say that if you've shot several dozen deer, then you're obviously doing something right.
