Just about got my first deer this morning ...
Well, I just about got my first deer on my way to work this morning. I was driving along a two-lane highway at about 60 mph when a six-pointer came charging out from the left. I swerved as much as I could (my Jeep tends to be squirrely at highway speeds) and he passed just behind me. If I had been driving the pickup this morning, I' m sure he would have run into the side of the bed.
The bucks are acting goofy - sounds like the rut is in full swing in central Virginia
