Question When can I shoot a doe?

I am hunting in zone C in Florida and am in DMU-C5 and I see that it says: Antlerless deer season on private lands only: During muzzleloading gun season Oct. 20-21, and during general gun season Nov. 3-4 and 17-18. So do antlerless deer apply as does? I know many people who just shoot does through hunting season and am kinda confused.

Simple answer is yes a doe is an antlerless deer. They call them antlered and antlerless on tags because sometimes each sex can be both. You can have does that have antlers (natures oddities) and you can have bucks that have no antlers (young buck or lost its antlers broke or dropped). That's why they don't refer to them on tags as males or females.

Good reply from dhasemann. The OP should consult the Florida regulations to find the answers to his questions. It should define antlerless deer.
