Bad eye sight

My wife has some bad eye sight but she loves to hunt. Hunting in an open field she sees deer and is a great shot. In the woods she has a hard time deciphering deer. Are there any tips of products that could help her with this. I know there are thermal imagers but they are too expensive. Any other pointers are appreciated.

I used to use a small pair of 7x30 Swarovskis for picking deer out in the woods and brush, etc. It's more of a spot and stalk type of tactic than still hunting through the woods. Is her eye sight correctable with glasses? If so, maybe she could get some non-reflective glasses to eliminate that issue.

She wears contacts, and it helps. I think its just harder for her to pick out the deer because they do not contrast enough.

Hunt in open country. Problem solved.

I would get a good eye test done, maybe she has issue's with certain colors, and if so, maybe wearing a colored lens might help her see things better
that and try to get her to focus more on movement then and NOT just look for a DEER
once she finds movement, have her use binoculars to ID things better than!

and I woudl also make sure she is 110 % sure of any targets and what's behind them before shooting
poor eye sight can be dangerous when holding a weapon!

I don't know where you live but few states if any would allow thermal imaging for big game.

Good to know about thermal imaging. she hunts on private land and shoots in a direction no one is.

My dad doesn't really have bad eye sight but he hunts with a yellow tinted pair of sunglasses. Says it helps him see better in the woods
