First day of the season yesterday and hardly slept. Morning hunt was slow and didn’t see anything. Went back to the stand at 530pm. It was 94 degrees with 90% humidity, so little warm out. Felt pretty good about the evening. Was in the stand for 30 minutes and seen a buck and a doe. Needless to say successful hunt. Not the biggest buck but can’t say anything negative. 40 yard shot which is my longest bow shot. I use the G5 deadmeat broadheads. Hit him in the shoulder complete pass through and made it 50 yards before falling. Best $13 dollars I spent on a pack of broadheads. An hour later my brother got a doe. Good start to the season here in Florida.
