RUBS
Scouting this afternoon revealed a new rub since 2 weeks ago. Haven' t hunted this area yet. Many old rubs from last year and only a few from this year. Rubbing activity is slow it seems. Trees aren' t as big as last years rubs. Don' t know if this is the same buck or not.
Found two scraps on old logging road, one not freshened since rain on Mon and Tues. One that was freshened probably today.
It was 85 this afternoon, this is S. Ga. I usually start to get serious about Thanksgiving. It seems the rut around here is then through mid-Dec.
NEED COLD WEATHER!
No skeeters today though, will probably hunt this week in the eves.

RE: RUBS
I hear you blindhog, I' m getting pretty tired of having cottonmouths for my hunting partners. I have got some great places to hunt that are 3/4 to 1 mile back in the swamp and the skeeters and snakes are just too thick right now to make it worth it to go. Tony
