Have been using this method for years with great success. Agood source is a product called EIGHT which you can get on line. Mix it one part to 5 parts water. Spray as shown in the video.

Go here https://www.domyown.com/permethrin-sfr-368-p-445.html mix it 1.5 oz to the gallon. This is 36.8% so the ratio is different. you can also use it around the house to keep out pests, kills anything with 6 or 8 legs. extremely toxic to honeybees so watch that. have used it for years.
