You win bragging rights Tomster, and piece of mind that your deer was the best deer on the whole forum.

Nothing is worng with that and I was just having a little fun too...

I raised a couple of Canadians several years ago and I miss them. I always enjoy that movie Fly Away Home. Don' t know where they are now..

I also raised several ducks too but unfortunately all have since died. I use to sell the duck eggs or sometimes scramble them up. It' s hard to hunt them when I have incubated them from eggs and had them as pets. We have plenty of Canadians here but only a few ducks.

Regards,

Tomster

Thats really cool that you raised them, what did you do with them? You didn' t release them did you?? Always thought it would be really neat to raise ducks or geese.

RE: Deer Contest

The Canadian' s were very cool to own. They followed me everywhere. Unfortunately, one day they got out of their coop and I could not get them back in. I am surrounded by lakes and they went to the lake across the street from me. I tried to get them back in but they had made some new Canadian friends and they took off with them. I did tag them but I have never seen them come back so I don' t know what happened to them.

As for the ducks, they stayed in their coop and I had them for several years untill either predators got them or old age. The ducks were black, brown, and multi colored. A neighbor of mine had ducks and gave me the eggs which I hatched.
