I almost didn't get this guy mounted but decided his cape was to pretty not to.

Thanks, I always get them back in January.

The taxidermist only takes about 30 deer a year.

Pardon me for not knowing if you did post about this earlier, but would love to know some details if your willing to share. State, Private/Public, Archery/Rifle, what did he score?

Private land in pike county IL Archery and he scored 141"

I lease and sub lease but I shot him on a little farm with no timber that is the only farm I keep just for my self and my daughter to hunt. He walked out of the timber 200 yards away on the neighbor, used the saddles to cross the wide open field in the broad daylight and stepped right out in front of me.

We don't usually end up getting a monster like I have on my leased properties but we do pretty good for a farm with probably 1 acre of timber total.
